Well, there seems to be no change at all today, apart from the redness subsiding some what.
Thank goodness there was no more itching today, and it didn't wake me up in the night.
It looks as though there is no need for a second application which is good.
I have applied a 'healing cream', which I purchased from the naturopath, Adrian Jones. The cream consists of Vitamin E, olive leaf extract, echinasea, and zinc. I will apply it twice a day and see what happens. This cream is great, but it's not available on his website as yet (I was lucky enough to purchase it at the seminar on Saturday). Will let you know when it becomes available. It's a great way of speeding up healing the skin.
For now, I won't even bother to photograph my back because it's not all that different from yesterday :-)
Will let you know if there are any more changes.

The medical world has evolved into a business. Health specialists are not given the education, knowledge, support or permission to seek out proper cures. Did you know the FDA in the USA managed to pass a law dictating that only a drug can be used to cure, prevent or treat disease. The TGA in Australia are similar. Yet after a hundred years no drug has cured any disease to speak of. What is wrong with this picture? This blog will not be boring. A few shocks are guaranteed.

Well, it has now been almost 24 hours since I applied the black salve.
You can see in the pic that the salve has made the area red but no eschar so far. No sooner had a I clicked 'publish post' last night, than the area began to itch like mad! It even woke me up a couple of times in the night, and I was convinced something was happening.
But maybe not.
If nothing happens I will be relieved, as it will mean that nothing needs to happen. So that will be good. Either way, I'll be happy.
Cam thinks the scar is a different colour now, so we shall see what tomorrow brings.

Cancer is NOT a death sentence - It is just a wakeup call...
I love the title of this post. Simple. Yet controversial for the vast majority of persons who may read this. So is it blind optimism that would lead someone like me to make that statement? Well firstly I have to admit I stole that statement from a medical specialist recently. Still, I love it and embraced it. So, once again, is it blind optimism that leads me to repeat the statement or is it the culmination of the research I have done and the evidence I have reviewed or had first hand contact with?
In my first post in this blog series I spoke of how the medical industry makes all illness into a big mystery. They complicate things, which is easy to do once you delve into the science of it all. They also ignore many commonsense approaches too. I propose that health is simple - and that anyone with access to the right information can find an existing cure or figure out a cure for themselves - maybe for anything!
Many people will look at someone like me and say wait a moment - you, Cameron, claim to know how to beat cancer when all the billions of dollars in research and the best minds in science in the world have failed for years! You, Cameron, must be an absolute nutcase, oout of your mind, delusional.
Well - if this was truly the case I would agree with you all. However the truth of the matter - and yes I am all about truth - is that THEY are not really trying to cure cancer at all. That comment applies to ALL disease - as all they want to do is treat people with expensive drugs to maximise profitability. Don't believe me? Well let me ask you this - when have THEY ever cured anything? I cannot think of any disease they have cured offhand.
Note that the biggest cures in the last few hundred years where achieved with vitamins - scurvy with vitamin C and one other which escapes me now but I will update later when I remember. How interesting.
The cancer industry makes far too much money for a cure to ever be brought to market. The model of business and profit could not sustain it. If it were up to one person who could create the cure, bring it to market (knowing they would be out of a job thereafter, but very famous) and give it to the world it could perhaps happen. But the establishment is not one person - and THEY control the way the model or the system works. Moreover, I can guarantee you that such cures would be natural substances like food or other nutrients and could not be patented so there would be no profit in it for the cure discoverer anyway.
Take black salve for instance. Banned for human use by the establishment - why? It is natural and cannot be patented, thus no profit and also they don't want to cure anyone. Imagine the dermatologists who would be out of business. In my research I have constantly found where there is something that really works it will be either restricted in its availability or banned for promotion as a treatment or a scare campaign mounted so that we all only are happy to take a small amount at a time (eg selenium and vitamin C). Black salve works for cancer and I have had first hand contact with persons who used it to cure breast, thyroid, bowel, prostate and skin cancer.
Back to me and the simple approach to health. Cancer metabolism processes have been known since Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize in 1931 for proving cancer cells were anerobic - whereas all healthy cells are aerobic. (Of course the establishment call his dicovery a "theory" only when in fact it is easily proven. This allows them to have plausible deniability when they continue to ignore this approach for curing cancer)
This means we know how to kill the cancer cells or at least convert them back to a normal cell. Basically, starve it of oxygen and/or the acidic environment it thrives in. Also, don't forget to starve it of the sugars it feeds on.
There are a number of powerful treatments for internal cancers based upon Alkaline therapy (eg DMSO and cesium chloride) which are fast acting and highly effective.
This whole cancer thing is just one big profit centre for the sickness industry. Don't believe me? I am happy to debate this with anyone. Where do you get your health info from? The media? They are in effect owned by multi-nationals and on the payroll of the sickness industry. The doctors? They are only allowed to offer mainstream conventional treatments - which are profitable, but hardly work or make the cancer worse.
Take the Brisbane oncologist in a senior position who a couple of years ago sent his own daughter to germany for alternative treatment when she got cancer. She was cured. Again this information came to me first hand.
So in conclusion, if you receive that terrible diagnosis. Stop. Pause and take a breath. Do not get caught up in the fear tactics that conventional medicine promotes - "Oh no you will have to book in for surgery NOW. Or we need to start chemo NOW. Step back and seek out some knowledgeable people and access some good information for yourself.
I would never take the conventional route if I was ever diagnosed with the big C.

Here we go again...
Cam and I had the amazing opportunity of attending the 'An Answer to Cancer' seminar on the Gold Coast today. This event was put on by the people who released the dvd, explaining all about black salve and it's amazing way of treating skin cancer. I don't say this lightly, but it's even more than a treatment...this stuff is an actual cure. Don't believe me? Check out the dvd for yourself.
It was wonderful to listen to both medical doctors, and naturopaths speak about the wonders of black salve, and other methods for fighting and preventing cancer.
Anyway, Cam and I will both blog about the seminar experience and the key points we learned, at a later date. It deserves more than just a brief mention.
For now, I am going to focus on one thing.
I took the opportunity of speaking with naturopath, Adrian Jones, about the small scar left behind from my experience with black salve, last December. I have been applying aloe vera religiously (mixed with DMSO so it gets straight where it's needed) but I was curious as there was a slight pink scar left behind. I totally expected Adrian to tell me that it'd be fine in a month or two, but alas...he took a good look at it, and felt the area, and told me that it looked as though I'd need a second application.
He explained that some more "aggressive" lesions need a second application of the salve, and that I was more than welcome to photograph it as it is now, and again after my second application, and email the results to him. He'd then advise me what should be done, if anything at all.
How scary to think I almost did nothing about this mole, and originally put a small dab of black salve on it to see what would happen.
So here we go again...another application, and hopefully this one shall be the last.
Black salve was applied tonight, so now I have to sit back and let it do its thing for 24 hours. This time around I will avoid the temptation of taking a squiz, and leave it covered until this time tomorrow night.
This time around I won't be so stingy, and I will invest in some decent hypoallergenic dressings. Last time I used il cheapo dressings and the allergic reaction (see first pic) was almost worse than the salve site!
I will blog about the changes each day and keep you updated.

Soy - Advertisement - just could not resist...
Ok so I proudly bought some women's fitness magazines yesterday for Kate. She has been enjoying the gym more than ever lately, and has discovered the joys of protein shakes hehe.
So as I stole her mags to browse the... erm...articles, some lowlife ad executive took a red rag to the bull so to speak. You know the deal. Pretty girl looking fit, as they blabbed about "feeling better on the inside leading to looking better on the outside", and making the switch to Soy milk which is "naturally better".
Many of you will not be aware of this - but soy milk is not a health food, it is not a healthy option and in fact - it is really bad for you.
Consider this...there is so much science proving the dangers of eating soy that I am not prepared to post it here for fear of boring you all to tears. The list goes on, cancer, hormone disruption, osteoporosis, thyroid disruption just to name a few.
Here is the one area that really did it for me. Soy vastly increaes estrogen levels in male or female infants. Soy infant formula is like giving the equivalent of 5 birth control pills daily. This is at a time when development of many fundamentals for future health and sex characteristics are occurring. Not Good!!
There are numerous studies backing the above points. Research it yourself. If some of the science is a little difficult to follow allow me to translate. Avoid soy milk and for the little ones - avoid infant formulas like the plague.
This is just another example of the way big business does not care about our health.

So next time you see me order a skinny double shot soy chai latte at the coffee shop, you will truly know I am taking the micky out of the attendant.

In recent years soy has emerged as a 'near perfect' food, with supporters claiming it can provide an ideal source of protein, lower cholesterol, protect against cancer and heart disease, reduce menopause symptoms, and prevent osteoporosis, among other things. But how did such a 'perfect' food emerge from a product that in 1913 was listed in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) handbook not as a food but as an industrial product?
According to lipid specialist and nutritionist Mary Enig, PhD, "The reason there's so much soy in America is because they [the soy industry] started to plant soy to extract the oil from it and soy oil became a very large industry. Once they had as much oil as they did in the food supply they had a lot of soy protein residue left over, and since they can't feed it to animals, except in small amounts, they had to find another market."
And another market was what they found. To put it simply, after multi-million dollar figures spent on advertising and intense lobbying to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), about 74 percent of U.S. consumers now believe soy products are healthy. Same goes for Australia.

The Problem With Our Current Food Supply - Two Words!
PS - posted at the end of writing the below post after previewing it - Yes I have simplified things as I promised - but blogged my heart out along the way - so if you want to get to the point and miss all the fun stuff in between - scroll down to bottom.
Let me tell you where it all started to get very interesting for me, this madness, this obsession with the effects of food on our bodies and health.
In my early pursuits for fitness, someone put me onto an author who had a particular notion - that fat in the diet does not make you fat. This whole concept intrigued me, and I began to dig deeper.
But hang on. What was the general message out there regarding fats? Well for athletes like me (I can hear some of you laughing but hey this was a while ago) "keep your diet low in fat and eat all the carbs you want". Oh yes I can still remember the weeks on end where I dedicated my lunchtime meal to the hugest plate of spaghetti you ever saw, complete with a whole tin of Campbells meat sauce and half a block of cheddar cheese (yes I was trying to put on weight).
In pursuit of the truth of such matters I find it is best to experiment on yourself. Thus I embarked on adventures in high fat eating. My proudest moment was when I managed to make the Mother of all Protein Shakes max out at just over 2000 calories - yes I only could manage to consume one per day and I could have killed a small child if I dropped the blender jug on them.
This particular masterpiece contained the following:
1 whole tin of coconut cream (saturated fat)
6 eggs with yokes (more saturated fat)
Several scoops of protein powder
20 to 30mls of virgin olive oil
a little water to make it more viscous ( i use this word cos yes it was like thick oil)
I ususally consumed it during the course of the day in 2 sittings.
my other staples each day included a tub of dollop cream for breakfast (yes I ate it like yoghurt), a little fruit to taste, steak or sausages for daytime meals and an evening meal of more fatty meat with some veggies. I maintained this regimen for over three months at one point. Yes I avoided the lean cuts like the plague hehe
In the early days I did not understand the risks of processed meats versus untouched meats so I also enjoyed salami, bacon, sausages and various deli meats.
Sausages were an easy way to take in large amounts of calories - however after eating 5 to 10 per day for several weeks at times during one of my high fat adventures I had several rash outbreaks (and I have never had allergy problems before). A little researrch at the time suggested sulphites (preservatives) in the sausages were the likely culprits so I cut right down and have never had an allergy since. One allergy rash lasted nearly 3 days and was a nightmare. These days I stick to purer meats like steak, mince and chops and chicken.
Anyhow getting back to the point - I was taking in over 300 grams of fat per day for 3 months at a time. To put this in perspective - low fat mantra suggests you have about 50g max per day) Yes I low carbed while doing this (except on weekends where I carbed up to round it all off and balance it out). I lost bodyfat during this period - yes I lost it! Without doing any cardio - but I was doing weights 4 times per week. But the whole calories in and calories out myth I also blew right out the window. I muscled up considerably. These days I understand that high saturated fats and cholesterol (which is good for you) equals extra testosterone and thus promotes muscle growth. Quite simple really.
I dont know about you guys - the readers - but this experience and this experiment amazed me. I had debunked a huge lie - fat does not make you fat. Again, these days I understand it truly is the carbs and the hormone responses to them that makes us fat.
Many of us out there are still on the low fat diet hamster wheel - running back to the supermarket for more low fat milks and creams and yoghurts and other items - totally on the wrong track. Hehehe you should hear me curse when I try to buy sour cream and there is only low fat. This used to happen a lot - and I cursed each time every time. Then as if to taunt me even more they brought out extra low fat sour cream and I would often find plenty of the low fat and extra low fat version - still with NO FULL FAT version.
Sorry for digressing. The point of all the above is that this stimulated me to seek further answers regarding our diet woes. I found them in a single book titled Nutrition and Physical Degeneration - Weston Price.
Price was a dentist who in the1930's travelled the world investigating the dental health of primitive racial stocks as he called them. He looked at what people were eating - and compared those who were living on a tradiitonal diet compared to the modern diet of sugars, and white flour He quickly learned that dental health was closely related to overall health - and where people were living on a modern diet their health quickly deteriorated. He also noted that every traditional diet included some form of animal protein and fats. Where butter and cream and eggs and lard were mainstays - people were in excellent health.
Back to current times - I urge you to take a look sometime at the ingredients on the processed foods in your supermarkets. Forget the additives and preservatives for a moment (I have not even bothered to research them because there is no need - yes they are bad for us) almost every product on the shelf has either white flour or sugar in it.
There you have it in the nutshell. Sugar and flour are terribly bad for us. In fact, foods containing flour can be considered as anti-nutrition because they leach the minerals from our bones to assist with digestion.
If you want to be healthy - Step 1 is to minimise the use of these types of foods. It is a challenge both to find better foods and to resist the tantalising taste of them - but well worth it in the longrun.
So next time you are at the supermarket and you hear someone cursing in the dairy section, take a look, it may just be me...

He also noted that every traditional diet included some form of animal protein and fats. Where butter and cream and eggs and lard were mainstays - people were in excellent health.
Back to current times - I urge you to take a look sometime at the ingredients on the processed foods in your supermarkets. Forget the additives and preservatives for a moment (I have not even bothered to research them because there is no need - yes they are bad for us) almost every product on the shelf has either white flour or sugar in it.
There you have it in the nutshell. Sugar and flour are terribly bad for us. In fact, foods containing flour can be considered as anti-nutrition because they leach the minerals from our bones to assist with digestion.
If you want to be healthy - Step 1 is to minimise the use of these types of foods. It is a challenge both to find better foods and to resist the tantalising taste of them - but well worth it in the longrun.
So next time you are at the supermarket and you hear someone cursing in the dairy section, take a look, it may just be me...

Black Salve...nature's answer to the knife.
I was introduced to black salve through Cameron, who is an avid health researcher, and co-author of this blog. While neither of us has diagnosed cancer (thank God), we both had suspicious looking moles on our backs.
Black salve is a herbal paste and is made from a combination of several ingredients including blood root. You can make this stuff yourself at home if you follow the directions given on the DVD (link at end of post). It has been used for hundreds of years (in fact, up until the 1920's it was available in chemists). You only have to apply it ONCE. After that, your body takes over. I did two applications because I didn't apply enough the first time. One application should be all you need for a small area.
We did lots of research and watched a fantastic DVD (link to that is at the end of this post), before we even thought of purchasing the Black Salve. I am very cautious when it comes to trying new things, so we did plenty of reading before ordering it.

Cam purchased the black salve to have on hand “just in case”. However, after learning that the black salve has little to no reaction on benign areas, we decided to try it on our moles. What better way to see if they needed removing...if they didn't the salve would not cause any reaction, and if they did then the salve would see to that as well! Cameron’s GP has told him that his particular mole needed to be removed from his back, as it was very suspicious looking, and had changed dramatically in the last six months. I wanted to try it out on a mole I had on my back, which was quite scary looking. I just knew the doctors would suggest removal "just to be sure" and I am not a fan of having flesh cut out of me. My mole had always been a worry to me, but I ignored it for years, even as it grew and changed colour. Thank goodness for this alternative!
We both applied the salve to our moles and Cam's mole showed no reaction the following day. Mine did however, and the following post is all about the days that followed.

Day one (4th December): We each washed and sanitised our hands before applying the black salve on each other. We applied a small amount over the moles. This stuff goes a long way so we didn’t need much. After application we then covered the area with a large dressing. Within minutes I could feel that area tingling, like a pins and needles sensation. This tingling sensation occurred a few times during the next 12 hours.
Day two: You are supposed to leave the black salve on for 24 hours before removing it, but I have never been one for patience. So at the 12 hour mark I had to take a peak. The majority of the black salve was now attached to my dressing as opposed to my back, so we were able to see quite clearly what was going on. The mole had increased in size, due to some swelling. There was also redness where the salve had been. Since there had been a slight reaction, we decided to go all or nothing, and put more salve on. This time the tingling was more pronounced, and that evening I also felt a slight stinging.
12 Hour photo:
Day three: We used hydrogen peroxide to gently remove the black salve that was still on the area. I was expecting this to sting a lot but this was not the case at all. Hiding underneath the thin layer of black salve was...an eschar! I couldn’t believe it! Clearly there was something going on that caused the black salve to react so strongly to it. We re-dressed the area with a large dressing and I managed to forget about it for a while. That evening was when the pain began. It was as though it was throbbing and stinging at the same time. It’s a strange kind of pain...I knew something was going on. I am very reluctant to take pain killers so I didn’t, and the pain soon subsided.

Day four: Woke up this morning to find that the red area around the eschar had developed some blister like bumps. Not sure what these are but I trust in the salve, and will wait to see what happens. The pain was more prominent today and I had to take two panadeine pills. It’s interesting because it doesn’t constantly hurt, but it’s more like the pain comes in waves and sometimes disappears entirely. The pain seems to be coming from under the eschar and I am very curious to know what’s going on there.

Day six: More changes over night! I am amazed at how the area changes on a daily basis, even days after the black salve was removed. The yellow line leading to the small black area has enlarged a lot overnight and is very obvious today. All but a few of the ‘blisters’ have disappeared, and the ones that remain seemed to have grown slightly. I am curious as to whether or not they are eschars as well. The thing still hurts but not as bad as day four, and no pain killers were needed. Thankfully, not even running water in the shower seems to cause pain, and I’m sure it looks far worse than it actually is. There was a slight amount of seepage (gross, I know) today.

Day eight: Another huge change overnight. The two ‘blisters’ towards the top and bottom of the large eschar have disappeared. The eschar itself appears to be drying out more, and there was more seepage during the night. I am really hoping this thing doesn’t just completely heal over and not fall out...this is not something I want to keep in my body! The fact that the salve has had such a huge affect on it tells me loud and clear that this mole was highly suspicious. Now all I want is to be rid of it.

Day nine: The area itched like mad last night. I must say though, that I don’t mind the itching or even the slight pain, because it lets me know that something is going on. I peeled back the dressing this morning to find that it was quite literally oozing pus before my eyes. Not a pretty look, but it’s much better coming out than staying in there! It also appears to still be drying out around the edges, so I am hoping that this will lead to it eventually falling off. It was much dryer looking in the afternoon and it appeared to be weeping less. It might be my imagination, but the top left corner looks as though it is lifting slightly. Maybe day ten will be the day it falls out! One can only hope.

Day ten: Woke up this morning and it had fallen off!! The eschar was smaller than I expected, but that is a good thing I think. I know that if this thing had roots further down, that the black salve would have reached it and pulled it out. As it is, I am glad that it’s off! There is a small cavity left where the eschar was, but at the moment it is weeping a lot, and has quite a bit of pus in it still. Feeling a little bit of discomfort tonight, but I don’t doubt that there will be another dramatic change by morning. From what I have seen of other people’s black salve sites, they do appear to heal very quickly so that is encouraging. Will keep you posted on the healing process next.

Day eleven: Woke up this morning to find a fat ball of pus on the dressing. The hole itself looks bigger now, and a lot better than it did yesterday. It is still weeping a lot but it looks as though the hole is starting to dry out and heal around the edges. It’s been giving me a bit of pain this afternoon but only to the point where it’s more a nuisance than anything else.

The allergy I’ve had to the dressing has really flared up tonight and I think that is causing me some aggravation too. The hole seems to be healing a lot, even in the space of twelve hours. Looking forward to it being entirely healed over so I can go without the dressing, but for now it’s essential to prevent infection.

Why is health such a mystery?
Hello all this is my first ever blog and I am very, very afraid. The problem is I have a true passion (which can also be spelt O-B-S-E-S-S-I-O-N) with health and nutrition and once I start on the research I never seem to stop. Given this blog to voice my views who knows where it will all lead.
On a serious note however...
My interest in health and nutrition research spans a period of about 15 years. How did I get started? It all began with me wanting to help myself achieve my own goals with health and physical appearance. In future posts I will tell you all about my experiences with bodybuilding, high fat diets, cycling carbs and fats, mega dosing on vitamins and much more.
As my work career progressed I developed an uncanny ability to sniff out the truth from my experience as an insurance investigator. Over about 8 years I learnt all about the dark side of people when it comes to money, the lies and the fraud that is rampant in society.
There is something quite disturbing when you realise even the dear little old lady sitting in front of you will lie and cheat when it comes to money and the potential of insurance pay outs! I was completely taken aback too at how much employee theft and fraud occurs in business. At the peak of my investigative career it really seemed like the whole world was crooked.
I then began to understand how big business and corporations enable their owners / directors to detach themselves from any guilt related to how they conduct their business. In other words, profit is king, shareholders must be paid - to hell with the pain caused to the consumers.
To round all that off I took an interest in studying a number of scams within the gambling industry and was horrified at how smooth the scammers were and at how easy they were able to fool people. They even had the dept of fair trading fooled in one instance! This in effect was marketing at its most evil and I have to tell you, perception was everything - rather than truth.
I now believe I have a firm grasp of how the world really works when it comes to marketing of products and services, the health industry and the media. It is not pretty!
As many of you will realise, it is our own life experiences which often leads us down certain, unexpected paths. People find purpose in their lives following certain life changing events.
The final straw for me was my dear mother falling to lung cancer in Feb 2008. From diagnosis to her sad end was 6 months. This sent my obsession into hyperdrive. I will save the details of that experience, the challenges it raised, and the fears it confirmed, for later in this series.
I have often felt a sense of purpose in research of health and nutrition and over time I have found myself getting just plain mad. If you cannot grasp how I could be mad then be sure to keep an eye on my future posts - and you will soon understand.
The messages I post here into the future will represent the sum total of my research into the effects of foods, products called food but not really food, food additives, medicine, politics and vested interests on our health and understanding of what it takes to be healthy.
Unfortunately the current system benefits financially from keeping our health a big mystery. The more complex it is, the more confused we are and the more we rely on the mainstream advice from government, large food corporations and modern medical industry to guide us.
I want to make a proposal. I propose that health, at least maintaining health, is quite simple. Give the body the fundamentals, the building blocks it needs and it will stay healthy, or if need be, heal itself. Okay so this does sound simple. However the first problem is - that most people have no idea what the fundamental building blocks are!!
It really does all come down to what we put into our bodies. yet, ask 100 people what a healthy diet is and I would expect a combinaton of ill informed responses - mainly the following 4.
1. A low fat diet.
2. A low carbohydrate diet.
3. A natural diet.
4. A vegetarian diet.
All of the above diets miss the point. There are problems, huge problems with numbers 1 and 4. Number 2 is hard to sustain and should embrace occasional feeds of carbohydrates to round it off and manipulate your hormones to your advantage (more about that another time).
Number 3 is very close to the mark.
However, true good health requires much more than this. Further, if you have existing health issues you must go deeper again.
What if...
What if I told you I had personally reversed a friend's crohns disease in 3 months where a Brisbane specialist had failed after three years of treatment. In fact, the recommendations from the specialist medical nutritionist horrified me - but again that is a story for another time.
What if I also told you I had discovered a cancer treatment that blasts skin, breast and some other internal cancers within a week or two with a single treatment?

- Vitamins are far more powerful and effective than we are led to believe?
- Minerals are more important than either of the above? Why don't we hear much about them?
- Cholesterol is your friend and the "bad"cholesterol is just a part of a story made up to scare you?
- Every disease and degenerative health can be reversed by proper nutrition (foods, vitamins and minerals - and yes sometimes herbs)
- The exact same approach of building your immune system can be used to cure most diseases.
- There are a great number of easy, accessible cures to cancer?
